Hiya all. This was a utterly fun fast and entertaining challenge with a fantastic cackle of entries making it only problem was that it makes it brain damagingly tough to pick the top 3. The witch i have painted are actually shapechangers and i have depicted two rival witch, here the bigger one has caught her enemy whilst she was in in mid change, half way between  frog, rat and some other weirdy thing. lol i suppose if the sound fits, why not. That means mine is the only picture here with added sound effects..brilliant!

But i think the picture could end up too busy so i decided to try and concentrate on the witch in the foreground alone. Re jigged the figure so it filled the corner of the painting instead of just being plonked in the center, and decided that these were shape changing witches and have her concentrating on her little captured rival added ...

Roughed in the colors and i suppose i really intended to perhaps pop a couple of flying witch silhouettes flapping about the moon 

Fantastic drawing and wips there Jok. Radish i like the dramatic angle you have used, that witch really looks like she is gonna fall out of the frame .. Decided i had to show the moon proper, as it is called witches moon and the first idea wasn't so clear... so i drew out this sketch and liked where it was going

Some really nice work here indeed. I only came across this challenge last week and mulled over entering. Decided i really wanted to  and needed to paint a witch, had to really work fast on this, go for it hammer and tongs. Sorry Ive only had time to post the wips here and now... as i know i wouldn't even  get a painting done ...

Awesome work so far Edart. I'm really liking what youve done with it. The idea works , the layout is perfect..all the elements work well, it really feels like artic, i admire how you have goe for a view of the submerged bear too. Im impressed
