Sometimes the tilt can exacerbate the angle jitter on 12WX. We have a 12 WX, 21UX and the I4 but dont notice too many issues with regards to jitter (so not very helpful for you)  but have heard other users complain of it as such. If it is still fairly new, there is also the consideration of the Intuos 4 to consider.

However, colour reproduction is perhaps not as good as a monitor, but relatively close.
