• Re: HULK SMASH!

I have made several modded computers, but nothing like this. Today all artist's seem to sit in front of a computer to create their life's work. I for one spend enough time in front of them. I have dedicated myself to finish the rest of my career as far away from them as possible. They are a great tool, but I spend WAY TOO much time on ...

  • Re: HULK SMASH!

Thanks EMBEE, The projected scenes used a 20watt yellow florescent tube ran vertically on his right side and I used a conventional red incandescent flood off of his left side. For the 'dark' shots I used the same red flood and several led's for complimentary lighting. Big props to Joel, I mean MechaHateChimp with the assistance ...

  • HULK SMASH!

As promised, I present the Max PC. Custom built pc using unconventional methods. Fully functional. Has XP loaded on it. Currently featured in MaximumPC, February's issue, on news stands now. Another Fine Future Publication! I also built a 15 second animated commercial for ...

  • Re: Can the act of painting be more artistic than the piece itself?

Thanks, I work completely different in the digital world. I'm obssesed with vectors. Rasters are cool, but vectors are the cat's meow. With vectors you can use Flash to convey a concept rather than just proof an idea. Check out my latest vector piece. It is still very rough, but you get more of a feeling for what I am ...

  • Re: Image Similarities

Image similarities aside, I would vouch for your character any day. Joel is the most honest person I know. I have watched his work develop over the last 10 years. If he has every lied about his artwork, It would be news to me. I appreciate the fact you took the high road and praised the art from the other guy and are confident in your ...

  • My 3D art is on the cover of a national publication.

Ok, it's not imagine fx, it's on computer power user magazine.I spent 1000+ hours modeling it in the 'real' world.Started from scratch and built a 3D model, so I figure it counts as 3D.Fully functional pc, I am starting this post using it.If you want to find out more, the issue is on newstands now.I know Imagine FX does not have ...

  • Re: Pearl Eyes - Creature Concept Illustration - Tutorial steps included *

I have not done a ton of work in the digital arena. I enjoyed the step by step and commend you for taking the time to post it. Fantastic pencil and finished drawing. I have a few questions. How much different does your work turn out once you take it to digital? If you had finished the pencil drawing the conventional way, how much different ...
