This is my first portrait. Hopefully people recognise it as Tom Waits! One of my favourite musicians! Photoshop, one layer. It's taken so far about 10 hours - mainly redoing over stuff I don't like. Any critique is very, very welcome.

About the critics - yeah, I know what you mean. Before I went to see Pan's Labyrinth I'd read the reviews on it - one of my fav sites utterly panned it. Turns out I thought it was one of the best movies of the year :s . Screw critics :P.
I can't wait to see this movie next week...post-apocalyptic robots exploding all over the ...

American Psycho! Good movie! I've mixed feelings about Terminator, loved the first two and I quite liked the ending of the third. However, Salvation seems to have been panned by the critics on www.aintitcoolnews.com.... anybody else go on critics views?

So true. Talking about that pressure to produce something significant everytime you pick the pencil or brush up. I just bought this book yesterday and initially flicking through brings an immense sense of relief! Finally! Some way of actually structurally thinking about producing a piece of art.
