Rubbish. Games developers are more committed to creating games for
consoles because it allows them to design to a specific spec of the
machine rather than having to muck about getting around the bottlenecks
imposed with operating systems and the different hardware installed in
their audiences computers. That allows them to concentrate on ...

PC gaming used to be popular, once the console craze goes down again I assure you it will probably bounce back, especially with the indie companies that are coming in now.
The only reason the majority of gamers are on consoles now is because the PC market has died for awhile :D
-
nah, there's less piracy now simply because companies aren't making PC games anymore because of the piracy.
Good riddens, cowards shouldn't be in the games industry
Seriously though, this is why I think the internet pirates have actually done good believe it or not, they've run the publishers all to the consoles so they ...

em...: Senra:Companies like EA are incredibly good at making money, however when it comes to making games they completely suck
That statement is contrary to what you earlier claimed about the reason companies were failing being because of lack of talent. It is, however, in line with my point that companies failing or succeeding is purely down to ...

It did get pretty de-railed there >_<
I find it funny that you actually believe this Senra.
There
are a number of titles that didn't do well last year simply because the
time frame in which the title was released had already been
over-saturated with other triple A titles.And there's a number of other
great titles that got ...

As far as I'm aware I don't have any. I just need some kind of drawing
implement in one of my hands and at least one ...

No it doesn't. It means they aren't selling enough product to be
financially viable. That could be because a) The market has become
oversaturated, and the fickle gaming customers have become bored and/or
moved on to something else; b) The companies spent a lot on development
based on projected figures, only to come a cropper because, ...

fabledgoat:I find it odd too. If so many companies are looking for good talent and artists are hard to come by, then why have we seen so many game companies go bust or be acquired by the bigger companies in the last year?
That's not really a sign that jobs are needed in the field, more the opposite really.
When a market is shrinking and ...

I think you'll find that you're confusing your opinion with facts. Yet again. I'm no industry expert, but I imagine that, rather than there being a shortage, there are more people wanting to work in games and movies than almost any other art related job in the whole world.
Unless, of course, you can tell us all where all these empty ...

kazky: Senra: kazky:i think this is more a Q & A about art, techniques, light, colour etc. Probably best to post any hardware/software issues in the general discussion thread with a specific question title.
