Thanks Jimmy, Kaz, i know it's him, i have to have confidence in my caricatures, have had pos comments in another forum too. Sorry you don't see him gurch, you are only being honest, and thanks to concious bob for his comments in my gallery.

All excellent, Pertwee is my fave, so much depth and life, his emotion is captured.

It's worth experimenting. Duplicate your layer and get a hard round brush, set the mode to colour. Have opacity at 100 percent, flow at about 6. Splash away with a base colour, then create a new layer, set it to overlay, and splash some more of the same colour on top, adjust the layer opacity. Worth a bash for your excellent greyscale painting.

I checked out his site, can't see the painted examples but he doeshave the "upturned wineglass" kind of shape to his figures. I must admit that sticking to this painterly approach feels more natural, like sketching with colour and values. Thanks for your comments again.
