Thanks, all - for both the critiques and the comments! The Cersei image was done for work and I try to put more polish on those pieces before submitting them to my art director. Though I'm not really striving for high detail or realism with the WoW images, given the sort of "silly" style that Warcraft is known for. Actually in ...

I don't post here too often... in part because I have been a slackass and haven't made any new art in a while. I've finished a few pieces recently though and I thought I would share. The Cersei image was done for Fantasy flight games for one of their popular trading card games. Photo reference used for the pose. The WoW images were ...

gurch - i agree, the hand is that image is pretty wonky. i actually think that it's partially that i drew the end of her sleeve too short. ahh well :)

Very pretty character! I agree with a couple of the other comments about how some areas look more in-focus than others. The problem can be fixed one of two ways: either sharpen up some of the blurrier areas to match the quality of the sharper areas (giving the hair the same level of detail as the rose) or you can soften some of the sharper areas ...

These are very nice. I especially like your color choices in this one: http://tomgarden.co.uk/sketchbook/cgworkshop/male_face_glaze.jpg The subtle yellows/red/blues all work very well, it would be nice to see just a little more sharpness in certain areas though. Your portraits have a natural media feel to them, which is pretty difficult for a lot ...

here is the quick paintover illustrating a few of the points i mentioned in the other thread. another quick fix i did that i hadn't mentioned was adjusting the positioning of the crown so it looks more centered on her head.

Pretty character - I like the face mask and the antenna-ish eyelashes. :) I can think of a couple of things to critique for you. 1.) The shadowing around the hair, especially on the lock that lays across her shoulder. There's a bit of a soft blur around it that could be cleaned up a bit. 2.) The crown that she's wearing is pretty evenly ...
