If you REALLY wanna push the effect you should consider colorize some line art utilizing the color halftone filter in Photoshop - give it a Lichtenstein look.

Nice work. I like this quite a bit. Good textures and nice atmosphere. I think the shapes in the background could use a bit more definition but that's the only crit I have. Nice stuff.
