I'm of the same opinion. Great pic, good palette, but I can't tell if the leg is the victim's leg, or her leg twisted funny. The kilt as it stands I thought was blood at first, so it needs a little more differentiation. Overall great pic, though.

I've used the hard round brush for a long time, but now mostly I use brushes that give give a scrubby, brush-like look to them. On the brush I use for skin, I've used one of my scrub brushes, and turned up the jitter, splattering, and hue features. I like a lot grain and artifacts in my coloring.
