Hey Kazky, thanks A conceptual illustration created for Advanced Photoshop magazine Issue 063. The editor Julie asked for a simple creative creature workshop involving a dragon flying toward the viewer. The only two restrictions were the POV and they didn't want a red dragon. Senior staff writer Adam art directed the remaining ...

Claire:What about the third set of peepers? I can see the second set of eyes, the butterfly-esque eyes that are set apart wider than the true eyes from the face. I still haven't gotten it in the mail yet, but are you talking about the white eyes at the very top center with the skull as being the third?

I haven't received my copy of Issue 50 yet but, wow.. I remember when I received my first copy of IFX which was issue 04 and IFX magazine was just a new born that quickly blew up and become one of the number 1 magazines for 2d digital art. Hell, IFX has become one of the number 1 magazines of all types of 2d art in general as far as ...

Kazky - Thanks, I think if I were creating THAT kind of creature he'd have more character to him ;) Yihyoungli - Thanks. I don't think I've seen concept art for FF XII - these were more The Art of Skull Island (King Kong) inspired by Greg Broadmore's work. Here are a couple more in the same world/style. Nickybeats - Thanks for ...

Finished this two days ago..A quick concept of a hulking rough skinned brute. I imagine the Rakio Croc would be a slow moving scavenger that uses its size to intimidate others while it dines on rotting carcases, though its head and mouth are quite small in comparison to its body. Produced this during LiveStream sessions.

Cover 104: John Kearney... not sure if he knows. I just sent him an e-mail. http://www.brushsize.com/ He actually did that image as a Cover specific for IFX Magazine (the irony). Cover 93: Dan Dos Santos: I'm sure someone probably told him already.

Robbie@ - Thanks. I actually don't live close to a zoo, though I do love going to The Bronx Zoo in NYC. I haven't been there in quite a while, a lot of my animal studies come from photo references, 1 main book I have ( Smithsonian Institution "ANIMAL" The Definitive Visual Guide to the World's Wildlife) and watching a lot of ...
