Just got my intuos4 today. As for the 2084 levels of pressure, they seem to work just fine on Painter IX and X and also on PS-CS.
The surface of the tablet is an improvement over the Intuos3. It has a surface with grip this time.
The only thing Im concerned about is the rotate canvas feature with the "touch ring". I ...

Penabled:Hey Pat if you sit through the video that wacom has for it...you can see that it does indeed have two USB ports to connect to so that the cable will always be connecting to the same side.
