About Midge
I have always been keen to draw & paint from an early age with encouragement from my mother (who I have to say was excellent at drawing). I find the human figure extremely fascinating.
However, at the age of 14, computers & programming overcame my desire for art as a career and art became more of a hobby whenever the opportunity arose around a busy work & family life. It is only recent years with more time on my hands that I plan to invest more of my spare time in art.
From a very young age I have been fascinated with sci-fii, myth & legends, fantasy and nature. It is great to see that many of the books I read as a child are now turned into films to fire the imagination of our younger generations.
Much of my current portfolio contains a variety of artwork from still life, life drawings and landscapes with a dabble into fairy art here and there. Most of my existing work is done using a wide range of traditional media .. suppose I am still looking for the media that suits me best. My preferable media for working quick sketches includes pastel and charcoal and I love working with oils.
I was thrilled to discover Imagine FX as for me it is a long awaited publication that I am sure will help inspire my creative side and have a go at some digital art ... maybe this will become the media I will enjoy the most?
