The Key Keeper

I have been suffering a lack of enthusiasm and creativity for quite some time and then 2 weeks ago I got the ideas and the itch to start painting again. Since I like to do things that are based on experiences and emotions this one is The key keeper she has finally unlocked my imagination again and let the creativity poor out.
Each of us has a key keeper I'm sure of it! She can be cruel an lock you out when you need to access the very fibers of your dreams or she can lock you in, living eternally in a world of a blissful fantasy or a horrifying nightmare. But most of the time she allows you access to everything we artists find close to out hearts.

Glad you started to paint again. Work like this actually maked me feel emotional. What a gift you have. I now realise why i paint now, to maybe one day get close to work like this. Are you a real person, or one of these characters? Amazing.

Looks like he/she took a photo and used the smudge tool a bit to make it look more painterly.  It's used very minimally though, still looks mainly like a photo.  It's more minor photo editing... not really painting anything or making artistic choices at all.

Some of the fabric looks like it might be painted.  I'd encourage you to really flex your muscles and paint something from the ground up with minimal reference to see what you've got.  might surprise yourself.

Good to see you returning to your traditional skills. Is some of this a composite? I mean...have you painted over something...or have you spent loads of time getting it right first, as you should. Overall its a very impressive image

Beautifully painted... because if that's from scratch or even with a reference, it's perfect.

I think this is a lovely picture. I don't mind if it has been "smudged" or painted because the final overall picture really hits home.

who cares how its done? The final image is what counts. Most of the people who critiqued this dont even have portfolios up..I find that amusing.

Wildone_106 You don't need to be a seamstress to realise the Emperor is wearing no clothes. Similarly, those that have spotted that this image was not produced with creative ability should not be considered unworthy of their opinion.
