Tenderness

A rather old piece I have been doubtful to show, once made for a challenge on an other site.

The topic was "tenderness" and that other site (VCL) is a special site for "anthro" - art so the charachters had to be human-animal mixes. I got the rather wild idea to make a sort of icon as I saw orthodox icons as one the ultimate expression of love an tenderness between mother and child...Not everybody liked this idea ! Still this is one of my personal favorites in my own production sofar - So here it is for you to see ! No blasphemy intended, my apologies to those who get disturbed by this...

It was suggested I should colour this pic - so I did. I want to thank everybody on the forum who helped me developing this image !

In the eighties i read a fascinating graphic novel in the "Heavy Metal" - magazine.

It was called "Sheol", written by Tettamanti and drawn by the eminent Cadelo. One of the characters fascinated me especially, a cat-girl called Minouche.

I got the idea to draw this portrait of her, posed as Mona-Lisa ( I am a great Leonardo da Vinci - fan )

Not much digital in this pic, it´s all graphite - took me a month to draw in those days...

Something inspired by the Minoan culture that vanished some 3000 years ago, they seem to have worshipped some kind of Snakegodess and a lot of little statyettes of her and her priestesses have been found. This image is quite freely inspired by those statyettes, though this fashion seems really have existed among the Minoan ladies...Some scholars belive the minoan culture was the inspiration for the myth of Atlantis.

Anyone who has happen´d to pass by this portfolio has perhaps noticed this tiger-striped-skunkette ( ! ) known as Zig-Zag. Originally created by the artist Malcolm Earle ( known as Max Black Rabbit in the anthro universe...) I have made a few images of her too, finding that furpattern strangely fascinating...( and laborious to draw..!)

A weird image that started as a joke between a World of Warcraft-playing friend and me, ( I don´t play b.t.w... ) The joke resulted in a simple sketch which I for some reason developed into this drawing...I doubt machine-gun toting fauns ever will hit World of warcraft, but admit it would be a cool idea..( or would it ? )

Want more "anthro"- Pinups ? This one is based on the imagination of the artist Anne Terres and her formidable creation Malkavia.

If you wonder about her white, left eye - it is supposed to be like that - If both her eyes turn white you better watch out though...Has to do with that knife.

A "remake" of an old image, a friend here on the community suggested this picture for a "Expose 6"-book submission...Well, nothing to lose really, so I have given it a try - just for fun !

What it is ? This character made a brief appereance in on of my "novels", I once found myself doing a little sketch of her on a corner of a document, and that sketch has developed in stages to this image...The attempt to a novel is long since forgotten but this creature survived...
