In the late seventies I read "Lord of the Rings" as so many others - In those days no one could imagine that such a story ever could be made into the great movies as it did...That´s why my "Gimli" looks so different...This is how I imagined him after reading the books...I am a very short person so I naturally identifyed myself with the dwarfs - Gimli is my favourite character in l.o.t.r !
