It is a metaphor for human relationship dynamics- pertaining especially
to love & pain. Inspiration was taken from events that have
occurred to me during last year.
“When all was over, home came Winter- every branch, bough, trunk
and root perished under the cruelty of the overwhelming snow. Except
one…it survived even the snow’s cruelty and the fury of the blizzard.
This one still shone bright with imprisoned colors even if lost in the
middle of all the blinding whiteness. It was alone in a world of dead
and dying trees- a lovely flower amongst snappy twigs.
Home came winter…she bears razor sharp scissors in her hand. She holds
within her existence the cruel coldness, the dying hope, broken dreams;
a bleeding heart and death incarnate. She is the inevitable result, a
nightmare woven by those who learn how to surrender.
It who shone bright and survived beyond all endings resolves to bow
down showing submission. Its passion still persists… still retains some
heat of life. A drop of water formed from frozen morning dew runs down
its shape. In its path down the droplet gathers all the forgotten
memories. The final moment comes near, but the seeds are immature. In
this new ending the one realizes that it is the last of its kind. Her
presence is felt. “So where shall I cut?”- the lady asks.
Home became Winter….”
