I love how the color temp. shifts from red to blue over the whole composition. The shock of the blue grey hair on the right just punctuates this painting perfectly. The way you make the viewer move from left to right with the way its composed, with the nice break of negative space in the middle is really sophisticated composition, IMHO. It lets you move over each face individually, getting to know each one. I wouldn't worry about it looking 'finished'... i think looks great... its rendered up to the level of detail that most would call 'realistic' with enough visible brushwork for us art geeks to peer in and get an eyeful.
Very enjoyable. Best luck in the contest.

There were lots of excellent entries, there's no doubt, but yours had that something very special. The Nick Harris "zaniness" factor. Haha!
