Wonderful rendering, colour and atmosphere - something to give scale would clinch it. Great stuff on the website too.

I really like the mood created by your colors and atmosphere. Yes, maybe a small spaceship will show how big this colony really is.

I love this piece, the colours, the hint of detail and the shadows are beautiful.

I had similar mention with regards to adding a small vehicle and here is a link to the pre visualisation shot with a vehicle in it. My wife ultimately helped me decide a picture without the starship was far stronger as an art piece. What do you guys reckon? http://www.medievalfx.com/infinity/colonyruins.jpg

Without ship for sure. Not knowingthe size of the colony just adds to the mystery of the space scene.

Really great work Koshime. Environments and technology have always given me trouble, but you seem to pull them off with great confidence. I'll apologize in advance about rehashing the long dead "ship, no ship" debate (as I am new to IFX), but I can't help thinking a tiny ship would be a compliment. It would have to be in context though...perhaps a tiny salvage or scavenging vessel with a few hull scanning, search lights or beams, to make its presence know. Anyway, your work is really inspiring..keep it coming.

Actually. the original piece had a lil ship, but after much debate. it was stronger without one.

I too like it better without the ship, but I like to think the thin stip of blueish light(on this laptop anyway) near the center is observation windows to some kind of apartment in the vessel, and thats about the scale I like to think it is

The mystery point is a good one. Actually, even with the ship, you can imagine the ship is way close and the tube is miles off. 'will show how big the colony really is'... this fellow already sees it as massive, ha ha. probably bigger than the comparison. I really like your little space ship too though. But the original is mind blowing. The sequel is more predictable.
