If he is supposed to be Italian (his helmet was overwhelmingly popular in Italy) then I think he should be wearing leather boots (as was the fashion there). Otherwise great job!

This illustration was made more as a study, in order to try and perfect plate armour painting techniques. It can be seen as a "generic" 14th century Man-at-Arms.

This is a period of military History I enjoy very much: will you do an illustration of a battle of this period, perhaps illustrating the first handguns...?
