Raegx - Undead Holy Priest

I do character portraits for the members of my WoW guild. I've done about a half a dozen of them so far and I still have people in line for more. This one in particular was for one of the officers in my guild, a holy priest by the name of Raegx. I'm pretty sure this is my favorite out of the ones I've done so far (hmm... except for the one of my own character ;)). Done in Photoshop CS3 in about... hmm 6 hours maybe? I can't really remember. Various screenshots used for reference.

Portrait done for Fantasy Flight Games. This is Cersei Lannister of the Game of Thrones series by George R. R. Martin. I was given free reign over the composition here which made it more fun to work on than some of the other cards I've done. Created in Photoshop CS3 over the course of a day or so.

Emonator - Blood Elf Retribution Paladin

Another one of my WoW portraits done for a guild mate. This one is for our lovely little ret pally - Emonator. S/he is known for dressing up in sleazy outfits and prancing around for everyone on the server to gawk at. I think this character has more clothes in game than I have in real life. One of his few requests for the portrait was that she be "hot". I wanted to get the paladin vibe across while still making her look a little bit sleazy/sexy. Originally I was going to work on this some more, but he liked it so much in his current state that I happily backed away from it and left it as is. Done in Photoshop CS3.

This is a painting I did for a friend of mine - a girl in my WoW guild. She wanted a portrait of her undead shadow priest to look wildly beautiful but also dangerous. Done in a few hours in Photoshop.

This piece is one of the older ones in my gallery, but I think it holds up rather well. The proportions on the girl's face are a little off (I'll chalk that up to being less experienced at the time [:P] ) but I still rather like the rendering on the rest of it, as well as the color choices. Photo reference was used. I also have a walkthrough of the steps used while making this image:

Undead Sylvanas Edit

So a while after I did the image Sylvanas' Past, I decided to go back and play around with it to make her extra undead and goopy. Why? I dunno, it's fun! :D Actually, the original reason was that I wanted a picture of an undead character to put on my WoW guild's website, and this turned out to be a rather simple solution that looked suitably gorey in the end :)

[Edit: for some reason the gallery seemed to be bugged out and wasn't displaying this image. not quite sure what happened but I deleted it and am trying to upload again.]

This one was done for a Blizzard art contest several months back. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and it scored an honorable mention. :) In hindsight I think I probably would have made her hair more grey rather than purplish - a lot of people think that she's supposed to be a night elf. Oops :p

So this picture is actually quite old, but I decided to upload it anyway because it is to be featured on a movie poster for an independent short film called The Winged Man. It's always exciting to see your work in new places. Even though I did this image a while ago and never quite finished it, a lot of people tell me that it is their favorite in my gallery. :)

A painting done for the Midnight 2nd Edition rulebook. Some parts of it I really like, but other areas (like the beard and the blood splatter) were a bit neglected in the end due to time constraints. Perhaps one day I'll go back and fix those things up.
