Hi everyone, after seeing this lovely monthly competition last week.. I had to join along with you guys. I decided to create something just for the theme, and I came up with a sea creature that travels the seas in search of rare corals, weeds, and sea plants to provide and sell within his community; hence... 'Sea Grocer'. He has travelled far distances in his search of rarities for over several years... needless to say he is old, and the weight from carrying corals in his hand-made backsack over the years has taken a toll on his back. Slightly intimidating, maybe even scary a creature, but quite humble and gentle in manner. Because the Sea Grocer has interacted with corals for such a long time, some corals have started to become a part of him and grow various places on his skin; mainly his arms. His lower spine is split into 3 segments which allows ample movement as he floats gracefully through the water with his luminescent jelly-like fins; which not only looks lovely in the dark, but comes in very handy providing light on late night ventures along with his head tentacles.
