The idea for this one started out more comic than it turned out to be. I had something else planned out for the 2 characters in the scene, but I soon figured out that I had to let the chick and the cat interact to make this piece work. I guess there are not other back story to this than I simply enjoy making pieces like this. I also wanted to experiment a little with volumetric light directed from the top in the scene.
