Every year, from some time on, I do an original illustration as our Xmas greeting card.
This time I wanted to do something based on "good feelings", theme more universal than the compulsory presents related topics, typical Christmasy characters and situations, etc, and found my inspiration in the classic Frankestein horror film.
I hope you guys like it, and let me wish you some Happy Xmas/Holidays, by the way!

The valkyrie's pet

Hello:

This concept's bee done for my friend Abe to be (if he manages to get some spare time, that is!) modelled and textured in 3d as a character composition, just for fun. He had this brilliant idea of getting some concepts from different people on the same subject, and well, here's mine. I must say that I've quite enjoyed it myself...

Done as usually in photoshop from scratch, and squeezed in my spare time, I've tried not to overwork the details for a change, so sorry if it's feels a bit rough.

Please,feel free to leave any comments and crits, they are more than welcome.

Unstoppable

Hi everyone...!

2007 started kind of stumbling for me due to many reasons, and I felt like going for something not as cartoony as I use to. I wanted to depict something stronger and darker, but with a pinch- I hope- of good feeling inside, the kind of good feeling you get when finally good things begin to come after fighting a bit against the odds.

Done over an old pencil sketch of mine (too crapy to show) in photoshop from scratch as usual, It's taken me many, many lunch times and some spare breakfast times, but I'm glad to say that I've learn lots!! working on it. On the artwork side, I've left out the blood splats and guts, and went for (a bit exagerated) metal sparks instead as I didn't want it to look too bloody; it's violent enough as it is, I think.

Anyway, here's my latest, a -surprisingly enough- semi-naked female warrior, fighting fiercely against a whole army that cannot stop her, in part because she's got a someone/something by her side, looking after her.

Finally, thanks so much to everyone at work( you know who you are!) for your kind comments and crits.
