Everything is purple

This image was painted for the Collectible Card Game "Oz" by Orion's Bell. As the title says everything should be painted in purples shades, wich was a really interesting challenge. As you can see she's very fed up with this color, even when she has all those fancy thing around her.

Black Wings

Story behind the image: (A really quick summary of the chronicle)

This happened in another land, in another world. A fantasy world, very different from the one that we know. This world had a very dark age too. An evil dinasty of kings reigned over more of two houndred years. A lot of deaths, persecutions and tortures happened during that age. The angels with black wings were prosecuted and locked in dungeons. Without no logical reason, this dinasty of kings thought that the angels with black wings were angels of the devil. So, they cut off their wings and they leave them as prisioners.
It's very sad, but it was what hapenned.
I think I heard some time ago about a extremely powerful wizard who is the only one capable to give her wings back. I hope he can rescue her. Meanwhile, the crows, her friends, are her only compañy.

Tech info:
Image painted with Photoshop CS 3. Original size: 6000 x 9000. Huge! But what a pleasure was work with that dimensions! Reference used for the pose. At first I wans't totally sure about the pose, but I like it at the end.

Lost Tears

This is another painting I made for duirwaigh.com few months ago. The image is related with Lake of Longing, my last post, in some way. Besides it's supose to be the same forest from another side. Again I wanted to create a sensitive, romantic and melancholic mood.

Painted with Photoshop CS2, Wacom Tablet Intuos 3.
2 days of hard work. I'm not bragging about this, I just had a really really short deadline!! =p

A melancholic & romantic piece. She's giving up her pain, wich is symbolized with the scarf. But sometimes is really hard to let go all the pain, because at least it define us.

Looks familiar?? ;) This is like a prelude for Incanto

She's a woman who wants to turn herself into a faery. She want it so badly
that she's capable to go up to the top of the montain and wait for a magic star
to make her wish. I wanted to show her tenacity but also show her vulnerability.
Her wishes come true and she turns into "Incanto" Created for a fantastic

With this image I tried to practice with more dramatic and fantasy lightings and colors. Also this image was made with the intention to create a detailed walktrough I will add in my online portfolio that I hope will be online soon. I'm pretty happy with the result. I hope you like it too :)
