Mother's Embrace

The idea for this pic just got into my head one day at work, and I couldn't seem to stop thinking about it. When I got home I immediately started sketching it out. When my wife first saw it, she said it was so terribly sad & horrific that it actually bothered her a little. But at the same time, she couldn't help but really like it. ... thanks to everyone who helped out with crits on this one. :)

Here's my latest pic I did. Wasn't even sure if I was even going to color it, but after my wife saw it in greyscale, she said she would like to see how it would look with cooler, pastel colors.

This was my first pic I worked up in grey scale first, and then added color. Pleased with the way it came out. Thanks to all for the kind crits and advice as always. :)

Think I'm calling this one done now. I had a lot of fun working on it, and learned a lot during it's process. I also want to say thanks to all who helped me out with suggestions or crits. ...

The idea behind Kito, was that I wanted to create a creature that took on attributes of other animals/creatures he encountered in his life, as well as show the place he calls home.

This is my latest pic & my first challenge piece which is for this month's Beyond the Darkness themed challenge. I have to say thanks for all the tips, crits & advise I got from other forum members during it's making. Don't think I could have taken it this far without them. Probably spent more time on this pic then any other so far, but feel I learned a lot from it. ... Think it took me longer, since I didn't always know how to do what I wanted, but figuring it out was pretty fun. ... Thanks again to all those who gave me input/advise in the sketchbook section. M&M's for Marta

This is a pic I did for Marta's upcoming wedding. After reading that she really likes M&M's and that they also call her & hubby to be M&M, I got this idea in my head and had to try and make a pic of it. It was a very fun pic to work with.

This is the latest pic that I've been working on. This was a sketch that I did back in 1997, and thought to create a digital picture with. With PS CS4 arriving this week, this will probably be the last pic I do using Print Shop Pro XII.

Playing with pixels - Waterfront

Though this is my second digital picture that I have done, this was actually my first picture that I did out of my head. ... It started with me practicing with some of the brushes to see what all that they did, and then added a black layer to better see the effects, and the next thing I know I had completed a pretty cool looking night sky. So I went ahead and continued working on to, adding more things to create a whole picture out of it.

This was my first ever digital picture. I did this for my wife, as a T-shirt design. ... I didn't put in too much detail, since I wasn't sure if this would be a problem when it was put on the shirt.
