A soft-shell crab is a Japanese delicacy wherein a certain species of crab, naturally born with a soft shell (as I understand), is fried and served with a Ponzu sauce. It's actually delicious.

Now, this charging knight has no idea that he's about to become fried too. Only his horse knows, hence the horrified expression of the poor beast.

In case you haven't yet figured out, there's a giant dragon head in the background...(yes, I want it to be subtle and not be perceptible right away. I want the viewer to look at the image for a little while and suddenly go "wait...is that...?"

Comment: I understand why you wanted the dragon head to be subtle, but it's too washed out.

Question: Where is the light source highlighting the knight's armor from the front coming from?

I tried something similar once here...

where the stalactites/mites of the cave the figure is in might be teeth and the walls have a dragon-hide like texture. I don't think the head's too washed out. The concept is excellent and it's always good to start with a strong concept. Initially I thought maybe "soft-shelled" might be an Americanism for "cowardly" and found the picture amusing.
