Serendipity

Created for a book series called "Filles de Lune" published from a Canadian publishing company, this is book 3 in the series.

Client wanted a woman walking out of the water with wings either folded down or up. Talisman around her neck is from the book. Specifics for the work included black hair, nudity, blue eyes, a magic effect, etc. I tried to do something a bit "ethereal."

I love combining mediums, I first rendered the dragon and girl in poser, then I spent roughly 40 hours repainting them by hand in photoshop w/my tablet.

The photo was all repainted, and all the additions (blood, wings, etc,) hand painted.

Steps were a repaint from sxc, skulls from dreamstime.
