While the Guardian looks worried at the above crows, flying in circles and surely bringing dark forebodings, clouds are closing up avoiding the sun to enlight the scene.
The engines are roaring, giving off hot flames from the exhaust pipes.
We are ready to go. It's time to cast off the moorings and meet soon our final destination ... "

This is my first attempt in matte painting.
All the files used are coming from Stockexchange http://www.sxc.hu
Added painting work in Photoshop.
Total work 8 hours.

I wanted to create a sort of world of fantasy with some sci-fi mixed and reproduce the feelings of the ship's captain, Sir Gahal Trestenjohl, writing on the ship's journal, almost ready to leave.

I'm quite pleased with this piece. I hope you like it.
