Weee #2 and that's it for the day while I go and do my Nanowrimo (home stretch!!).  I've also made the decision to lay off drawing manga/anime until Christmas Eve. I always mantain that if you are a non Japanese artist  ( you can substite other words like manwha/korean etc )wanting to draw manga, then you should only do so if your art comes out that way when you conciously want to draw a stylised person from your head. You shouldn't force your art one way to be trendy. This view was kind of vindicated for me when I did my Graphic Desgn As when after I drew a teasal in class my teacher told me " everything you draw is manga.." . But I think it's meant for the last 4 years since I've had a formal art class I stopped doing basic art exercises. Right now in my sketchbook I'm collecting hands, and digitaly I'm doing figure studies.

Here's number two!

I am again impressed by the work on the muscle forms of this figure. Anatomically they look correct to me. The figure has the quality of looking as if it is in the process of being carved! Again the use of light is excellent. This gives the Boy a feeling of immediacy, and a certain transitional quality at the same time. The figure looks as if it is bronze in this light, some how arriving and not fully committed to the time and place that he is seen in. He looks as if he is almost about to get off the plinth, and the metamorphosis will be complete!  Well done, keep up the good work, and Happy Christmas.
