Twiligth

Done for the IFX Weekly contest "Twiligth".

The idea was to play with two concepts for "twligth" as the part of the day and as the falling of something or someone.

No reference used :)
Done in Photoshop and quite fast, around 15 hours.

Rapunzel

Rapunzel

This painting has a long story behind it.
I decided to do a picture featuring Rapunzel after seeing this gorgeous painting of Rapunzel
from Bryan “Beaux” Beus . Of course I wanted to do something different and, hopefully, as gorgeous as the other
After thinking a while how to do the picture and remembering rapunzel's story I decided that it would be fun if I did Rapunzel with short hair after her braids had been cutted, instead of doing a tradicional portrait of long hair rapunzel.
I tried to give a dramatic feeling to the picture, trying to transmit rapunzel's feelings of sadness. So I made the picture dark with the ligth coming from just one point, the window of her tower. Finally I decided to have blue colours in the picture so her blonde yellow hair could contrast.
I had lots of fun doing this picture.

Done in Photoshop 7 with NGS pen

The Phantom of the Ship

Ok, i decided to upload this picture again.

I think the title can explain the picture.
I tried in this picture to use not many colors, working with a limited pallete. I also tried to create a sad and abandoned atmosphere.
I had lots of fun painting the ship, originally the background of picture wasn't supposed to look like this, the ship was supposed to be a bit far from the ghost, but when I restarted it I started sketching a bit more and this angle of the ship seamed pretty good.
I also like how the skin colours look in this picture, it was very hard to paint this skiin colors, because I wanted to make a cold skin look, and it was really difficult, but I like the result.

This was done in Photoshop CS2, not with a mouse this time, but with an NGS pen (thanks to my boyfriend!!!)
I also tried a bit of painter in this picture but just a really tiny bit, 0,1% painter 99,9% photoshop ehehe

Chimera

The Chimera was a creature from the Greek mytology made with parts of many animals such as lion, goat and snake/dragon. This is my version of it.I spent countless hours with it but I like the picture very much, I hope you do too.

The middle age punisher

I've always loved knights and middle age stuff. So I decided to do a picture featuring that.

I must say i'm quite glad with the final picture and I had much fun doing it, specially the details of the knight's armour
