When I was trying to think up a name for this piece King Diamond's "To the Morgue" popped into my head. Fittingly, the album that song comes from is called "The Spider's Lullaby" and the girl in the picture looks like me, kinda, and I'm "acid lullaby" so I thought it was extremely fitting ^_^, what a good day for naming art.

Anyway, this is a piece of speed painting gone astray, done freehand entirely in Painter Classic with a Wacom Intuos 2 tablet. Essentially to practice light.

About 6 or 7 hours with the program crashing on me every now and then.

Used photos of myself as reference (for some reason taking photos of oneself at 3am always seem like a good idea), had about 6 different photos to help with lighting and the hand...

Gotta say I'm really pleased with how the hand turned out ^_^, it was sort of a fluke.

So..what is she(you) starring at?  I think the lighting turned out great and nice shading with the backlighting.  You look pretty scared but hot... :)

Wow, if that's you, Wow!  If you look that good at 3am then there are about two million women out there that are now jealous of you!

I love the burgundy silk material it looks so real. It looks perfect with her skin tone and touches of this color on her eyes and everywhere. Beautiful!
