    Reflecting the Mind

I don't know if this is how everyone works, but it's how I do Devil

Before I start a picture, I've generally thought about for hours [trying to depict all the detail that's imaginable]; however, I find I can't do a 'carbon copy' of my thoughts.  No matter how realistic or vibrant they are.  I've looked at techniques such as quick drawing, but that doesn't work for me at all.  Sometimes when I work, I start at a comfortable place and burn my head into the piece.  Like many, I'm capable of drawing, but getting that thought perfectly takes something else [skill].  I'm wondering, are any of you like me in this persistence of control over the final result?  If so, if you've got any suggestions for me I'd love to hear em :)  It's driving me insane lol

Also, off topic, I'm juust completing grade 12 and university awaits.  I made some money from my first art exibition for IB- t'was looking at upgrading my wacom to one of the screen tablets.  Thoughts?

Not sure on the screen tablets cuz i've no experience of them but you're not alone with the rest, this is the biggest struggle for most artists, especially aspiring ones, to depict that magical image from your minds eye.

The best advice I can give you is to keep patient and practice, practice then practice more and at some point it will become easier. IFX forums and mag are good places to be for continuous improvement.
