Hmm I wouldn't do much. I think the colours are nice, they go well with the cute dragon.

The only thing I would do would be sharpen the wings, they are blurry. I like the shape, but maybe look up some nice photoreferences of butterflywings with nice patterns, and add those patterns to the wings. And I'd maybe add some butterfly scales to the dragon aswell.

So basicly, sharpen the entire picture a bit, harder edges on the wings and maybe a nice pattern if you'd like, and some butterfly scales :)

i would move the wings carly, they are at the wrong angle for the dragon, you would see that angle if it was a side on view, you need to move the nearest one to the left. I would also make the wings more translucent. lovely ickle dragon!

I think he's getting a tattoo on his spleen, done by a skanky looking tattoo artist he would love to be hanky panky with Wink

But yes.. I agree with Finn... the wings are a bit skew like. and everything is a little on the blurry side.

Re: How would you Improve my faerie Dragon?

the cropping is sharp in some places and softer in others, i personaly feel that softer looks better.

the wings dont really work with anatomy and perspective, its left wing is placed wrong, jutting out almost side on, while it fits with the other wing it doesnt fit with the dragon itself. did you piece the wings together then place it on the dragon? becuase thats the impression i get.

the shadow would also show on the side nearest us.

i can see a bump for the arm but thats it, it looks wrong in my opinion, try changing where the arm would be so we can see it clearer

the overall shading of the piece is rather flat, while smaller sections are shaded showing soem form the overall shape doesnt have changing shades which is realistic and gives he image a flat feel to it, add more dynamic shading and dont be afraid of contrast.

its a nice piece, but like most theres room for improvement, just keep working at it =)

Re: How would you Improve my faerie Dragon?

I think the previous background looked better, because I don't think that purple and turquoise/blue-ish fit well together. Perhaps you should find a colour that fit the blue better? A possibility is green or maybe a little darker shade of blue. You can even try to use a yellow scheme, because that will make the dragon stand out more.

Re: How would you Improve my faerie Dragon?

i prwefer the brown background, it works well with the colourful dragon and makes it stand out more, also brown is easier on the eyes than the bright purple.

i dont think you should get rid of the wings, they are nice and add something to the dragon, its just a case of repositioning them well.
