    New Members Introduce Yourselves!

I thought instead of having a million threads introducing different members individually, we could all use this one for new members.

     I'll go first. Smile

My name is Glenn, I'm 29 and I am the author of www.tokyocrows.com I have been into digital art for around 5 years, nice to be here and looking forward to sharing some of my work and learning some stuff with you guys.

Kudos to the Imagine FX team for the steller magazine and website, lets all try to make it a good one!

    Hi there Glenn!

Im Joel Carlo, also known as MechaHateChimp on some of the online art communities. Ive been working as an illustrator close to 13 years now but didn't pick digital illustration until a little over a year ago. At the moment, I'm obsessed with learning as much as I can so between frequenting the boards and getting my hands on as much reading material as possible, I try to squeeze in an illustration or two :)

    Re: New Members Introduce Yourselves!

Alright, me next!  I'm Meghann, although I go by "Malla" in various communities.  I'm an amateur digital painter and a university student.  I've only been working digitally for about a year as a hobby, but I've had traditional art training in various classes and workshops since I was about seven.  I'm hoping to turn this hobby into a side job (or maybe even my real job), but we'll just have to wait and see.

Hey people, my names Pete & I've always drawn or scribbled since I was a kid & have been a graffiti artist for over 20 years. 5/6 years ago I started using computers to doddle with & now I mainly work in digital, although the spraycans tempt me back from time to time. I'm totally self taught & my tools of choice are ZBrush, Modo, Vue infinite & Photoshop...

    Re: New Members Introduce Yourselves!

Hi everyone, I'm Leanne, I'm 19 and I've been doing digital art seriously since the beginning of last year, but have been drawing for as long as I can remember, it's in my blood. I'm currently working on improving my skill whilst looking for a job before I go to Uni next year (design job preferably), but I really want to get my teeth into giving life to a world that's been living in my head for a long time. I tend to specialise in dragons, as I have somewhat of a obsession with them, but I love mythical and weird creatures in general (they're just such great fun to create). I'm also a bit of a geek, especially with video games, science and mythology.

    Hey
I'm Rob, Editor of ImagineFX. I'm really passionate about all you lot sharing your art and knowledge. So much so, I've posted this during my honeymoon. Now, some would say I'm sad, but my wife's in bed checking out the wedding gifts...

Hang on, that makes me even sadder – for a number reasons.

Anyhow, enjoy the site, over the coming months we'll be adding  LOADS of content and giving sneak peaks on upcoming  issues of the mag. And much more. Honestly, we'll be doing everything to make imaginefx.com THE place for digital  artists  to hang out.

And maybe Art  Editor Marcelo will post his personal artwork - look forward to that...

    Cheers!

    Hello everyone.

I'm Holly, or Hollso, and I'm 19. I mostly tinker in photoshop for a hobby. My subjects have been horses lately, but sometimes I'll doodle what comes to mind.

    I'm a bit of a geek too!

    Re: New Members Introduce Yourselves!

    Hi everyone,

My name is Jeff, I'm an ancient 44 yrs old from Melbourne, Australia and I'm a video producer, computer programmer, musician, podcaster, occasional writer, and more recently an artist.

I have no art training at all and can't draw to save myself but I've owned Poser, Bryce and Photoshop for years and could never figure them out until about two years ago, when I created the first image I didn't want to delete immediately after.

Since then, my images while nowehere near the standard of most people here, have been displayed in various art galleries, won an award or two, and even been sold to the general public.

This year I not only sold several fantasy art pieces, I have had short films in various film festivals and become part of a new media arts group that creates works using computers, electronics, mobile phones and anything else that isn't a traditional medium.

You might notice I also ramble on a bit, given the chance..

    Re: New Members Introduce Yourselves!

Hello everyone, just thought I'd drop in and say hi. I'm Claire, Deputy Editor of ImagineFX and am really chuffed that the website is taking off. I'd just like to say thanks to the digital art community for all the feedback and support so far... It's still early days, but we've got loads of members already, and I can't wait to see even more amazing artwork in the gallery - if you haven't done so yet, please upload your works of art!  Rob - stop checking out the website! Get back to being on honeymoon! I'll see you Tuesday...
