I have a question wondering if anyone can help with?

I use a hard round for most of my work, set to shape dynamics and transfer, (opacity and size set to pen pressure) so I get value and size chage with pressure

I want to have couple different hard rounds one set to only value (light to dark, no size change) with pressure, the other to size change (thick to thin line) with pressure. but ever time I try to change the settings as soon as I touch to use it chages back to the original settings what am I doing wrong?. I changed settings then hit create new preset and keeps reverting to the original dynamics and transfer settings?

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Hey Sugar, I'm uncertain if I'm reading the above correctly, so not sure if this is what you're looking for or if it will be helpful to ya. But I use PS-CS4 and have noticed that if you leave the brush panel open, you see where it says 'brush presets' on the top left and 'brush tip shape' underneath it. ... If you click/highlight 'brush presets' you will notice that when you select a brush in the panel, the brush dynamics will change to the assigned presets to that brush. But if you have the 'brush tip shape' highlighted, when you select the brush, the settings do not reset to the default settings for that brush, but stays with the settings you are presently using. Hope that makes sense, if not let me know.

PS - I don't use many brushes myself, and usually right click with my pen to select them. If you do this as well, it's like having the 'brush presets' selected, so the dynamics change with the brush selection. ... if I know I don't want the dynamics to change, I simply keep the brush panel open and select from there instead.

Thank you Dave, but I am still having issues with this, I have tried creating new brushes with the different settings and it keeps reverting back to the transfer and shape dynamics no matter what i try. I am very lost any help??
