Elric Challenge

I wanted to get one thread with all my finished stuff so here we are.

After messing around with digital for a couple years, getting frustrated cause I couldnt seem to figuire it out, I made the New Year resolution to just make it my second job. I am enjoying the community here at Imagine forums, the inspiration, help, and feedback has helped me take some large steps into the digital world!

So here is my Space Cowgirl, I think I am gonna call it for now, For the most part I am please with it, but feedback and thoughts are welcome.

Frost Dragon

Wanted to do a series of illustrations of the characters of a series of books  I am reading, called the Chronicles of the Raven, the 1st book being Dawnthief. It's about a group of mercenaries, pretty kool books, gritty fantasy stuff

1st character I started with is  Ilkar, a elf mage.

This was my first try at the CA weekly CHow

Keymaster (The brief)

 In the middle of The Old Lands, sits the capital city; a glorious and beautiful place with seven magnificent halls at it's centre, one for each of the elements of the Gods; Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, Dark and Magic. The entrance to each hall is blocked by an enormous door which can only be opened using a special key. Each key, is unique for each door, and is in itself a symbol for the element it protects.

There are no kings or lords in the capital, and the highest position in the land is that of the Keymaster. This role is one that cannot be bought, won, or inherited; instead when one keymaster dies, they are replaced with a child born at the exact moment of death of the previous one. Keymaster's are born with completely white eyes, however they are not blind. Their eyes allow them to see the truth in people, and determine if they are worthy to enter any of the halls.

Keymaster's carry all seven keys on them at all times, bound to them with a chain made of gold.

Your task this week if to design a Keymaster. They can be any age and any gender, but the importance of their role and title must be evident in their design."

Excellent piece, Sugar. This wouldn't look out of place in an M:TG deck or a D&D book.

And good luck on the ChoW! My personal experience there has been that while actual feedback is minimal, there's a whole bunch of really talented folks competing regularly, and seeing their work really pushed me hard each time I competed, so as not to embarrass myself too badly...
