    Bryce 6.1 woes

So I'm beggining to get the hang of creating mechanical things with primitives and booleans but I group them, create boolean and choose "export object" as .obj. It saves the file but when I try to import it it tells me that an unexpected error has occured and the file format is invalid?!   Is anyone else having this problem?

    hi Lordy

I dont know if I can help but I have used bryce 5 for years and years tell me what it is you are trying to do (step by step) and I will try and replicate the problem, it might be a bug or something.

If you just want to save a set of shapes you like, you can save them in the Create/ Imported objects bin.

Highlight the group you want to save and click create icon and then the bin you want to put it in, then click add and your set will be saved after you add info on it and click save. the finished object can be then loaded repeatedly in all your images.

I hope this helps, contact me direct if you want.

    Hello Lightship!

Thanks for the reply, I was able to save one small object in the imported objects bin but a larger thing wasn't able to be brought back. I was able to bring the larger one in through the normal Import Object command on the file menu so I guess my worries are unfounded. I suppose I'm just floundering around in the new software! ;)

I just got my copy of Real World Bryce 4 book by Susan Kitchens, a lot to learn!
