    Texture brushes

    I ask too many questions!

That said, Marta Dahlig once said:  "Custom brushes play an extremely important role in today’s digital artist’s craft, and while

understanding them and how they can best be used was once just advantageous, now it’s a basic requirement."

Now Kasky took the time to teach me how to create a simple three dot brush (thanks again!) but now I should love to know how to create more complicated brushes (specifically from photographs.) I am well aware of how many really good ones are out there on the 'Net, and how many may be used for nothing more than a 'Thankee-sai', but I would get so much more satisfaction using ones I'd crafted.

How, please, do you do that?

    Thanks

P.S. I long for the day when I can actually answer someone's question!

Hi Sartorious, it is easier than you think:

This person used a grainy image for the texture of the brush, but the same principle applies to any kinds of image.
