    Hey all,

I've been to this page a million times but never checked out the forum :( a friend told me about this so i thought i'd check it out.

Here's some of my latest stuff, am doing mostly studies and stuff from imagination with the goal to be able to do some nice drawing/ concepts in the future.

Any comments and crits are most welcome :D

I really love these sketches Big Smile May I ask, how do you start off? Do you start with a stick figure or go straight to fleshing out the pose first? I'm interested in how you get such fluid poses. They flow so well. Mine always look stiff [:'(] Be very greatful for any tips.

    Cant wait to see more!!!!!

xHaStex – thanks, i’ll be doing my best to post as aften as i can :D

kazky – heheh, it’s all in the “small things” :D:D:D

Inky – huhmm that’s kind of difficult to say cause it kind of happens automatically. But basically i try to keep my pencil as loose as possible at the beginning when i'm trying to find the shapes and poses. I start with big shapes. Sometimes i’ll start with a stick figure and sometimes i just draw a shape on paper, very loosly and try to develop something from that. Let me show you what i mean

I hope that makes sense :D

I’m still learning this stuff too so. If you need some help let me know.

freshinkdesign – all are from imagination except the colored one, that one is a study of a painting by Bernard Tate. Most start off as simple doodles when i’m drawing in bed right before i go do sleep :D. I always have a few minutes while my girlfriend is taking out her lenses.

koshime – hey man, thanks for hooking me up with this. How are yah man?

    Here's some more stuff

Great stuff. Best drawing is probably the demo you did for Inky. It has the strongest proportions and you handled the line weight with care. For the longest time, all I cared about for drawing cool characters and such. But now, I've really come to understand that I need a strong foundation to improve my work quality. I mean, you can have the best concept ideas in the crowd, but with bad execution you'd most likely lose out. Am I ranting? I think so...Did I have a point? I'm not sure anymore. *click*

Nice sketches Mike!  I particularly like the dramatic, bolder B&W stuff.

Are they all random or are you ever working on something specific?
