Gorgeous Wendy, beautifully done. Only thing I would say is the contrast is very heavy on the black side but that's maybe just my monitor. Love the colour palette and nice use of storytelling.

    Re: An evening in Autumn

Excelent painted and excelent in the colors!! It remembers me at this great traditional art of past times, the works for the church in the

renecaince after 1500 and the english symbolists.

I can image me how hard you have work on it. But can I say two things?: The knee is to smal. The robe/gown must more round the overleg

(like a serpent). The arm (over and under) are a little bit to short? The highlight on the fingers are to hard (ore more soften?).

((this are just insider crits from me...)

Anyway; it is a very good handcrafted (knowledge of paint) piece!!!

Beautiful painting ! Reminds me of the old masters.

I love how you have painted the mothers hand, ( the one that points at the butterfly ) Very sensual.

oh Wendy this is beautiful, i keep looking at this thread at work & the firewall blocks the images & i then forget to comment when i'm home! its a very polished piece, and the hands are stunning as has been said so many times.

it has an extremely pagan earth feel to it, i love it.

i still think you have a bit of an issue with the womans face, i know how annoying that can be! i think the mouth is twisting to her left side, maybe just tweak it a little.

very very beautiful though, i would put that up in my house any day. Well done girl!

aww bless you.. and yes i gave up on her face after a while i just couldnt get it right, i keep looking at it and come to the conclusion that its the shadows/highlites on her face that that is slightly off, and its making the right side of her face look too hard, i will correct it at some point. I have been looking at hoards of tutorials to see how i can fix it.. thank god for those and to marta, henning, and melanie Delon for doing them i have learnt so much from them.

    Thanks kaz xx
