Just a little suggestion I came to think about now. I see, as we all have, that the image of the day has been replaced with the Android poster. What about instead of having that there for a long time (which I guess it will be) start posting the submissions for the cover competition starting from the top until all of them have been up there?

But don't you think it's a good idea? I mean, every time (yea its not that often) they hog the IOTD over a long period with something, I start to get impatient. This would also be a good way of seeing everyone's piece large.

lol.I haven't gotten mine yet either. I do like the idea but I think it'd bog down the image of the day myself if they went through ALL the entries. For all we know there were hundreds, or maybe just a few dozen. Of course, if there's only a couple dozen then I'm all for your suggestion. : P

Red when I finally sent in my taxes, it only took a day to get there and the the check was cashed the day afyer. So when the government really wants to do something they can. Other wise we are at there mercy. viva revolution! I did mention In the 50th issue thread that a seperate thread or page should be set up to view all the covers. it would be nice to see everyones work at a larger size.

I seem to remember they did once show winner and runners up for some competition in the IOTD slot, so it's not such a bad idea.

could just do it with the main spot and the smaller ones. take 1 week. the top 5 pieces get shown in the big iotd spot and then in the 4 spots underneath show 4 other images each day.

Don't fret Geir old son, it's just a temporary measure. We want to show off this issue's cover to its full extent for a few more days. But fret not - normal service will be resumed soon!

And as for whoever mentioned putting compo winners there, well get your quills poised, as we're soon going to have another Christmas image compo to fill that slot over the Yuletide season!
 

Hmm.. can I understand from this that the much mentioned new cover comp will have some sort of ad in that slot (sorry, much of that was TO english for a northern viking to fully understand). But fret not, I do not fret yet:)

I think you can take from that that the IOTD will soon return to showing normal pics from the gallery like usual, and that there is an upcoming Christmas competition which will give the winner the IOTD slot all over the Christmas holiday. If that's not the case then I'll start fretting.
