    renewing subscriptions...

Sooo there are now 50 issues on my shelf; and there are only three issues left before I have to renew my subscription...

And I got an Email offering me the 'exclusive offer voucher code' which is £12 .93 per quarter direct debit.. for a year that is £51.72.

And as offered in your magazine its £13.60 but you get a free DVD worth £24.99... That's 63p more per quarter but you get a free DVD.

But if I ordered my subscription from here:

    http://www.myfavouritemagazines.co.uk/store/displaystore.asp?sid=539

Its £11.68 per quarter or £48 pounds by credit card. The cheapest option.

So how exactly is this  any reward for your loyal re-subscribing customers?

How about giving us re-subscribers a proper reward for our loyalty?

    Re: renewing subscriptions...

From, my point of view the renewal is still a good deal. It just so happens that at the same time though the offer at http://www.myfavouritemagazines.co.uk/store/displaystore.asp?sid=539 is slightly better. That price on the subscription page fluctuates. I check it now and then for going rates since my subscription is ending too. Sometimes it's lower, sometimes its higher than the renewal rate.

Keep in mind that if you renew through the renewal card you wont be eligible for the DVD. What I wouldn't give to be able to pay £12.93 per quarter. I'll all the way in the states and our subscription is £80.

I took a look there pixi. the dvd that they mention is the exact same dvd that all issues come with whether you subscribe or buy it in the store. it's not something special with that particular deal.

    Re: renewing subscriptions...

I think he may be referring to the special subs offer "Ultimate Workshop" DVD mentioned in this months mag. If it's like the similar disc that 3DWorld did then it's just tutorial vids and assets that have been included with past issues cover discs (useful if you didn't get those discs, but otherwise nothing new).

Isn't getting the mag for a much lower price than you would pay in the shops enough of an incentive to subscribe without getting gimicky gifts?

    Re: renewing subscriptions...

that's the main reason I subscribe. though other incentives are great, the savings per year is enough to keep me subscribing.

    Re: renewing subscriptions...

Same here. I went for the cheapest sub without any gifts which was about £11 something per quarter (probably should check my bank statements to see how much of my money they keep taking), and paying by direct debit means I don't need to renew it for ever and ever and ev-- well until I say stop sending me this magazine.

    Re: renewing subscriptions...

lol I just do the yearly so I don't have to thinking about making sure there's money in my account for the direct deposit ones. Stick out tongue

    Re: renewing subscriptions...

The point I'm trying to make is it doesn't matter whether the DVD is previous workshops or just a gallery collection new subscribers get a £24 incentive to subscribe.

Re-subscribers get a 69p one; and the fact is that there are cheaper subscriptions available.

I think our loyalty as re-subscribers is pretty much guaranteed so why bother giving an incentive esp. one that is no real incentive at all?
