Round 23 sees newcomer ArtRobot's TAKEZO SAMURA, a cross between Clint Eastwood and Jet Li, challenge two rounds winner, the loincloth clad, Darkwrath's Varrick.

Both contestants must post one final image here and minimum of two over in the WIP thread. The deadline for final images is two weeks from now, Wednesday midnight-ish BST on 7th October. Voting will then be open for two days til Midnight on Friday 9th October. For full rules check them out on the Fightclub Blog.

ok this is my final. first proper go with corel painter x. not quite what i'd hoped for but i think thats more a product of bad composition more anything else. not really tried relective surfaces before either but they seemed to come out ok.

Well Art hasn't posted yet, maybe his cold has got worse, we haven't heard from him in three days (hope he's okay!) It's now 00.32 so that was a good half hours grace for both of you. I haven't had to do this yet but this is unfortunately gonna have to be a disqualification for Art :( Looks like you got your third win Dark, even with an unfinished pic (hope you're gonna finish it at some point, looks like it was gonna be a good one.) Not really the ideal way to win, but a win none the less. Congrats!

yeah i hope he's okay too. not the way i wanted to win at all!  i'll try and get the piece finished tomorrow night and i'll post it over on my sketchbook.  then too practice my painting as i doubt i'll have a pc that'll cope with photoshop, painter etc by the time the halloween bash rolls around. just have to remember about lighting, i'm so used to painting games workshop figures where you don't tend to have to worry about lighting so much.

Been pondering over this (what would Chris do.... what would Chris do?), but I'm gonna HAVE to stick to the decision, it does say midnight-ish BST Feel really bad about it, but rules is rules. If it's any consolation, love your image, good finisher, it was such a good fight too (maybe you guys need a rematch sometime!!). Hope you're not too peeved, are you feeling better now by the way, this cold sucks big ones.

There is a precedent for this - in one of my fights one of my opponents was late posting and I was asked if I would let them off and have a vote anyway or if I wanted the win by disqualification. We had the vote.

As stated by Anders in the case of ROUND 16 - The Sorceress Vs Nos the Bat, there was indeed a decision made for a similar situation. There is a slight difference here in that, a) Art was late posting but b) Dark didn't get his image finished. So, unless anyone has a problem with this, to try and make it all fair, we're gonna extend the deadline for final images, until tomorrow night at midnight! That leaves exactly 28 hours and 15 minutes to do any final, tweaks finishes etc. Repost your images into your original posts. Then we'll start the votes and finish them on Tuesday evening at midnight. If you need to check UK time, just google it. Remember if you need extra time on a deadline, and as long as both contestants are fine about it, it is possible to extend. Think it might be worth writing something into the rules about this. Everyone in agreement about this?

I decided that even though my finished product could be better I just can't work on it. What I decided to do was add my epilogue to this fight. This works with either endings, at least I tried to get it to. Didn't know if it belonged here or the sketch section. Enoy.
