    The CoolSurface sketchbook

Man, there's a lot of CA people here!  Well, lets ignore the redundant babble (because you all know this is my sketchbook thread!) and get on with some art :)

    Re: The CoolSurface sketchbook

Awesome work D: Man ooohhh man that is some beautiful art.

I love the character design of the first one, , and the setting is really cool :) I think the position looks slightly awkward and the leg a little flat, but nothing too huge.  The little rat is adorable :3 Lovely attention to detail.

The texture of the photo-shot is really great - it looks nice and worn, and the faded colours look great! And YAY Wolverine :'D

And that little critter at the bottom is awesome xD  The machinery and mechanics look really cool :3 I want one of those doo-das to get me around!  Wish I could use my feet like that...awesome ' 3'

    Hi Dozaloz,

thanks for the excellent reply!  I'm glad you liked the smaller details (like the rat)  I always try to put in some "rewards" for people who look at my images properly, thanks for stopping by my thread mate :)

I love the coloured version. Such a sad face...*sniff* [:'(] *sniff*

I thought your comic/Rob as a superhero -picture was one of the best, too bad it didn't make it. But damn, you ARE good and I think I'm not the only one who'd like to see moooooore!Yes

No problem!  Hehe, 'rewards'...that's such an awesome idea :D

I really like the coloured version of the mechanic, it has a lot of atmosphere and the blues work really well :)

Damn, mechanic just keep getting better and better. That Painter version is also quite good, are you going to make it the whole picture with that style/palette. Just that head shot looks "too contrast-ish" etcAngel

    Re: The CoolSurface sketchbook

A quick redesign of Gambit from the Age of Apocalypse, I figured he was street level so he shouldn't be wearing anything too super hero-ish because he needs to blend in to smuggle and steal things.

Next up, the Dark Beast, who has "borrowed" a few more genetic traits than he did in the comcs...

That's one mean looking beastie Wink the hand on the left looks a little awkward in that position though, maybe try turning it to match the other one
