    Bullit

I recently watched an old movie called Bullit with steve mcqueen and got impresed with the car he was driving. Have been trying to push this image to my own limits so it took to paint for few days. I am opened to all the critics good or bad.

Well I like the film, haven't seen it for a while but I have it on video somewhere (video's, remember them). You have done a nice job on the car so far. Maybe you might smooth the painting on the bodywork slightly to capture the smooth paintwork on the real thing. I think you need to refine the face on Steve a little because I don't think it quite fit's with the rest. Looking good though

    Re: Bullit

It's a good looking image, you've captured the car wonderfully. I'd have to agree with banjaxedmdt about Steve McQueen's face, it does need some more work to fit it into the image properly. Also, why not add a layer over the car body and paint in some reflections on the metalwork to really capture its material.

You've already done a good job creating a sense of action.

    Re: Bullit

hey Vik. great work on the car. I really like how it's turned out. though the others have mentioned the discrepancies with the face I don't think it's the major concern of the image. right now it looks like the image is burning out the tires and he's not really going anywhere. this isn't so bad except that there really isn't any background. I think you need to add some background in behind the front of the car to really give a sense of depth and substance to the image.

    Re: Bullit

Thx for you replies, I agree about a character and a background, probably will paint some more. I am concered and a little bit satisfied of how the image turned out but only to the level of my seeing it as a whole. It took few days to make it at this stage so I kind of run out of all the ideas of what could be put but thx again for letting me know about it.

I think some more detail into the background, might pull the focus more into the car which is a mustang if i can remember bullit properly, so far the car looks brilliant the overall image just needs playing with :)

    Re: Bullit

    Thx for your comments.

I added some darker shadows beneath the car, changed the dudes face and added a background. Hope you like it.
