    problems logging in

i cant seem to get logged in...obviously i managed - cos im posting this - but ive had to use firefox.. i can also log in using my wifes laptop .but cant using my computer... so presumably the problem is on this PC (or the version of IE im using)

whenever i input my details, the site just throws me back to the log in screen.. an endless loop of logging in to be faced with the log in screen. aaargh!  is anyone else having this problem? is there a simple fix?

ive cleared browsing history, and am currently reinstalling and upgrading IE.   and before anyone says it - no thanks, i dont want to switch the firefox -  i just dont like it.

    cheers, chris

Yes, Chris, this happened to me all the time. Drove me crazy. It probably hasn't gone away either but I now use Firefox or Safari. I'm not blaming IE but this site doesn't like it apparently.

but why now!? ive used IE happily on this site since it went live... oh god - i cant believe im doomed to using firefox from now on. might be time to download safari and google chrome - see if either of them tickles me fancySad

and i just installed IE8. but the problem persists.. although as i said, i can get logged in fine using another machine.. this issue seems isolaled to my pc.

Chris, i rebelled against firefox totally until i couldn't make links in any form with safari, and then i had to use it (tried opera and others) i've found it ok, i had tried a couple of times and hated it as it had run so slowly, but this time it's fine. Don't you worry your pretty head, you'll be fine with it. Big Smile

    Re: problems logging in

I have just logged in using Internet Explorer 7 (which is just as big a load of crap as versions 1-6). I had no trouble logging in (apart from having to actually use IE which I might have mentioned is garbage). You have no simpathy from me *shakes fist* because you made me log in and type this with IE (which is crap) just to see what the problem was. You are better off using a real browser instead of IE (which is a useless waste of space).

I'm off to log out and go back to a propper, fully operational browser.

Ah, that's better. I just need to go and scrub my hands and eyeballs with bleach.
