In case you weren't aware, there is a new patch for Painter 11 (I think Windows only at the moment). Run Check for Updates when in Painter but I think it downloads automatically anyway, so this post might be redundant! It fixed a terrible bug in my version.

I been putting off buy Painter 11 because of the bug problems i been reading around here, but since  a patch is out i was wondering if  its  now worth the upgrade from Painter 10 ??

It's a hard one. I don't think it's a "must have" upgrade from Painter X but there are enough enhancements to give it some consideration. The new Free Transform was enough for me. It means less visits to Photoshop - a big time saver - and I can work in RIFF format. The new re-sizable colour wheel is excellent and once used you appreciate how tiny the old one is. Lots of new brushes, too. It's not a cheap upgrade but if you can afford it, why not, but otherwise, you won't miss it. How's that for non-commital?

yah, I agree. there's a lot of nice additions in 11 to get you excited, but for me I'm happy with X and it's not that big of an upgrade to get me to spend the money on it.
