    Thank you, Kaz!

I'm pretty pleased with the result myself. It was really fun to work with saturated colours and "dramatic" highlights. :]

Very well done. I'd like to see a few more details in the black hair, but otherwise excellent!

    Thank you!:]

I agree. The hair could need some more detail. However, I had to rush the hair to meet the deadline, which is the "excuse" for the somewhat messy hair around the eye area.

I have to say that I'm not that keen on the pattern in the background, but the rest is very good.

Really fantastic! I agree with Em in that the background has little texture or depth but the portrait is top. Could use some refining on the eyes though, they seem a little rough around the edges. Still a thumbs up!

    Re: Commission: Portrait

Thank you all for the feedback!

I agree that her skin should've had some texture. The thing is, my friend requested a painting that looked as close as possible like the photo he sent. The skin in the photo was almost flawless (because it was a little photoshopped), which is the reason why I didn't add texture by using a brush or layer.

But, I'll keep all of this in mind next time. I think I'll continue using this kind of colouring technique, because I like how the colours blend togheter. :]

    Thanks :]

No she's not. She's the girlfriend to my friend that I commissioned this portrait to, haha.
