Okay heres my final, really enjoyed this one, the picture just seemed to make itself!! its really loose, im not a master of detail so i think it fits my style well. Its also somthing that has been in my head for a while so im glad i had the chance to get it drawn. This is archangel Uriel, said to be the light of god, god's vengence the angel of death in some cases and also a custodian of Hell. In this scene i wanted to show Uriel in hell. He has taken human form to descend and hear the plea's of Lucifer only to find his vanguard defeated and enslaved by demons and that he has walked into a trap! (dramatic sharp intake of breath) only his utter unmovable faith can save him, he looks toward heaven for a brief moment before the inevitable battle takes place. I really like tha classic depictions of biblical and pseudo-biblical stories. Uriel has a few dedicated to him and his service to god but for some reason his veneration was banned by the Roman catholic church and he became unpopular outside of England, so this is my thumbs up to him to say continue smiting the Legions of hell and be very cool whilst doing it!!

Ok here's mine.  Time was really pressing on this so decided to keep it simple.  I liked the idea of the Urban Demon I did a while back-that these creatures of Heaven and Hell walk among us.  So here is the counterpoint to the Demon, the Angel.  For the full size click on the image

Incredible works this week. Really high standard.

No wips for me. I knew I didn't have enough time to commit to a painting this week so I've just done a digital-photo-collage.

Hey, I noticed earlier that I got disqualified because my friggin wip links didn't show up.  The thing that really kills me is I just looked at the txt document still sitting on my desktop that I copied and pasted the text for my final image from, and wouldn't you know it, the links were there.  I guess they must not have pasted in for some odd reason.  Well, I was about to see how many times I could skip my computer across the concrete when I checked the mail and YEEHAW, my copy of Street Fighter Tribute came today.  That's my Makoto painting on page 34!  I'm psyched!  So, I guess in a way it all balanced out.  The lord givith with one hand and screweth with the other.
