what a cool idea! she looks pretty though, are you going to make her an ugly one? i hope you don't but it's your call. ok the only thing i can see that looks wrong is her left, (not our left) the eyebrow bone, (whatever the real name is) look too low compared to her right one. *edit* i've just looked again & i'm not sure if the perspective on her left cheek & eye is also wrong, but i can't tell properly until her browbone (remembered the name lol) is moved.

really looking forward to seeing this one complete. I wish i'd have thought of it! great stuff.

The stat looks promising since she has a good expression. And wow boy there sure is a lot of drawings of female around here (with me of course contributing a little already)

That looks very promising ! I like it a lot ! Besides what has been said already I dont see that much errors in the sketch, she has a very nice expression. I am really looking forward how this will develop !

    Re: female gargoyle wip

Her lips look really unnatural; they lack the proper structure of the real lips. The problem is obvious because the drawing is a up close view of her face so your lips, nose, eyes, and facial structure has to be superb for this drawing to look good. My suggestion is looking at lips in real life and work from there.

actually not necessarily, not everyone 'manages' a perfect image yian, we are always striving but it happens in stages, i think sometimes it's nice to say that too, rather than just say 'it's wrong'. And lets remember, she's a gargoyle!

is this going to stay a sketch? or are you intending colouring it, yian is right that you should get the facial proportions as right as YOU can, are you using refs?

    I'm loving the horns!

    Re: female gargoyle wip

only thing I really see at the moment is that as you've worked up the horns they've become less smooth and more jagged in areas. I think they should be smoothed out a bit.

    Re: female gargoyle wip

A bit less staring eyes perhaps ? She had a wonderful innocent look in your first sketch - don´t lose that !

The horns are nice, if they are supposed to be like ram´s horns they actually should be slightly jagged with rims. Use Google to look for reference ! ( I do that all the time ) A Gargoyle girl is a very cool and different idea - cant remember I ever seen something like that before.

This can become something really different and great !

    Re: female gargoyle wip

hiya sorry for late replies and thanks for all the advise :D yep she is going to be coloured not quite sure to go with blue or purple for her skin yet or yellow. Yeah originally planed for smooth horns but then deiced to make them more jagged and unusual currently looking at some horned animal references. yeah looking at facial references from an old photo of a friend although she doesn't know i'm making her likeness into a gargoyle :S know what you mean about the proportions those - my next stage to taggle, and yes i definatlinaty see what you mea about the staring eyes will try to soften them in the next stage.

lol google is ace for reference

hopefully post something tonight now after a long day of work selling shoes its time for a bath!
